Word for the Day: Immobilize

Immobilize:  To hold fast or prevent from moving.

Life is about living.

About moving on:  growing, learning, loving, hurting, healing, teaching, sharing experience, caring, failing, re-charging, winning, rising, accomplishing, laughing, crying, and all the failing (or apparent failing) that instructs us in-between those times of absolute bliss.  Life is wonderful!

Every day is a new beginning, the start of a new year or passage in our lives.  Purposeful action is the stepping stone which cements our future.

Every day, every year we must immobilize something of word or thought or action that may lead to a negative realisation or attitude or outcome.  Do not deny that the negative is possible or likely, but deny it life.  So immobilize it, that it dies.  Let it never come into being.

“Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus:” 6 2:5
“Commit thy works unto the LORD and thy thoughts shall be established.” Proverbs 16:3
“…Wherefore think ye evil in your hearts?” Matthew 9:4

Allow that thought of negative realisation to pass on to nothingness.  Watch its rancour be swept away.

“Do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.” Colossians 3:17
“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved,” Roman’s 10:13
“So they strengthened their hands for this good work.” Nehemiah 2:18

Pin that action of negative outcome, like some pin butterflies, to a prayer.  Watch its impulse flutter and die.

“Let my mouth be filled with Thy praise and with Thy honour all the day.” Psalm 71:8

Trap that word of negative attitude under a drinking glass.  Watch its meanness suffocate and expire.

Immobilize your faith in Christ.  Hold it fast. Prevent it from moving… and watch it move mountains!

We Await His Coming In Glory

Psalm 27:1

The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom then shall I fear?  the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom then shall I be afraid?

Repeat this until you know and UNDERSTAND this proclamation of faith in the Lord.

One verse.

Three definitive attributes: light, salvation, strength.

When you have affirmed this truth, of those who belong to the Lord, daily in your home and life  you will also come to the point where “We await his coming in glory” is more than a sentence, more than a ‘desperate hope’, more than something we say during the Eucharist.  You will come to the realization that He is here.

He is with you.

Emmanuel.

God with us.

Ever-present, Omnipresent One, God and SAVIOUR.

Have no fear, God is there.

For This Purpose

“For this purpose came Christ Jesus into the world……”

Many have spoken on Jesus’ purpose for entering the world in flesh. The one purpose that I mainly hold to, which may very well encompass them all, is:  “…to undo the works of the Devil.”

So what or who is “the Devil”?  And what are its “works”?

You can make your own list.  Just be sure that Christ Jesus came into the world to undo its works, by His death and resurrection.  That is the victory.  That is the undoing.

By his death AND resurrection Christ Jesus defeated forever all the ‘works’ of the devil.  Therefore we have no fear, because we have nothing to fear as sons and heirs of the kingdom of God.  We have authority and we have power.

“For God has not given us a spirit  of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”  And what God has given to us in Christ Jesus no man or devil can take from us.  We can relax.  We can be at peace.  Because we KNOW that “For this purpose…. .”

Have a good life.  Walk in the light.  Live the victory.

Let there Be Light!

In every corner of darkness or pain, let there be Light.

let

Light may not be what you feel is necessary when in pain or even in darkness, but Light is a healer.

Christ is the Light of Life, the Light of Men.

Dwell within the Light of Life, of Human compassion, but do not feel compelled to take pity on the “swine” who are not worthy of your pearl.  After all, we do not waste water on a truly arid patch which will refuse to be nourished.

Dwell within the Light of Men.  Dwell within Christ.  His Spirit is invincible!

Remember:  Pray.  Pray until you have a breakthrough of LIGHT.   This means continuing in prayer fervently.  It does not mean sitting in a corner crying.  🙂  This kind of prayer is not a Lament but an Expectant.

Go about your business, and because God Is, you shall have your breakthrough.  Just “occupy until He comes”.

And The Lord said….” Let there be Light!
