A New Beginning

A new beginning may seem a scary thing to some. To those who know Truth it is an often necessary part in Life’s Timeline. One just needs to recognise the moment. The moment in time when a New Beginning is apposite.

Exodus 33:5 “For the Lord had said to Moses, “Tell the Israelites, ‘You are a stiff-necked people. If I were to go with you even for a moment, I might destroy you. Now take off your ornaments and I will decide what to do with you.’”

God in His goodness to us always prepare a place for us. In His love and compassion he provides us as His people with Leaders who know His will, His “thoughts towards us; for good and not for evil”, yet even when we acknowledge this we question them so much as to be challenging God. And the Leaders so harangued are then willing to give up on us as a ‘stiffed-necked’ people.

In very hard times the will or the ways of God are even more indiscernible to us, who even in easy times have difficulty following the path God has laid out for us.

When God is doing a “New” thing we fall back on what we believe is tradition, rather than go with God.

“Do not earnestly remember former things, for behold I am doing a new thing, saith the Lord.” Are we then to throw tradition into God’s face?

When we know by the workings of God with them, that our Leaders are God’d chosen or appointed people to take us out of hardship oppression or darkness to the place God desires for us, why do we add to their burden by being envious or jealous to the point where we would remove them, fail to support them, or disobey them? Is our love of ourselves so little that we would rather die in the desert of our crossing over rather than accede to that place of abundance God is guiding us towards? Is our faith in God so fragile?

Isaiah 43: 18,19 Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.

God is able and will do what He says He will do. If it is a ‘new thing’ perhaps it is because it is what is necessary and right. Even if we cannot comprehend because of the newness and magnitude. If it is a ‘new thing’ then it will obviously not be in keeping with tradition or former ways and practices, in every regard.

Shall we doubt God in the moment of our deliverance because He has turned our world upside down? Shall we mistrust His appointed ones because we ourselves are not privy to all? Consider that if we were fully within the will of the Lord personally, we too may be privy to so much more.

The anointing of the Holy Spirit was promised to all who have Christ Jesus as Saviour and Lord. Why question the ones who are anointed? Why envy them? Question rather why it is that God’s people in the world have not grown to the position to receive and fully access the outpouring of the Holy Spirit.

A gymnast will go all out to get the gold medal. The people of God through the world seem satisfied to merely pay token worship and run to ‘tradition’ for guidance.

Our God is an Awesome God who reigns from Heaven above. He is Omniscient, Omnipresent, and Omnipotent. Show Him some respect, and quit following after snakes who stir up your greed or hatred born of covetousness, lest He smite you in the wilderness of your shallowness.

It is time for “A New Beginning“. Choose wisely. In effect, “choose (once and for all) whom you will serve.”
